The temptation for many of us is to go it alone. We tend to place all of life’s decisions on our own shoulders – though we often deny this. When asked we say, “Yes I am in prayer” or “Yes I have laid it at the throne” only to pick it up again.

To Abide in Christ is to be truly grafted into the vine.

To receive strength, nourishment, and identity in Him. If disconnected from the vine death is certain, and if loosely connected to the vine, no good fruit is produced, and death is imminent.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you abide in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

To graft a branch into a vine takes great skill and nourishment.  Jesus is the gardener but he has asked his disciples to be the caretaker.  In business, the CEO, director, or manager’s chair is a very lonely place.  We are faced with decisions that affect everyone’s livelihood and quality of life.

The ABIDE Business Coaching firm has pledged to be a caretaker of the business owner.

We have pledged to help them be nourished and encouraged in the Lord, to teach or reteach business principles that will produce fruit. And last gently prune areas that could be detrimental.

Julie Hirschauer, the founder of ABIDE Business Coaching has dedicated the last 25 years to business coaching, with the focus of ABIDING in Him. The results have brought Glory to Him, our Heavenly Father, and hopefully identified her with the vine as His disciple.

This is how He gives to His beloved sheep.
